Entry Level Accounts Payable Specialist

Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) and Morris & Ritchie Associates, Inc. (MRA) are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for our corporate office in Abingdon, MD. This is a full-time position; Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM. This full-time position runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing critical accounts payable processes and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. You'll work closely with both internal staff and external vendors, keeping operations smooth and efficient.
Accounts Payable Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Accurately process and code invoices, and enter them into our accounting system
+ Review and post employee expense reports and credit card transactions
+ Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
+ Maintain organized and up-to-date accounting records (journals, ledgers, etc.)
+ Manage incoming AP mail and respond to general inquiries
+ Deliver professional support to internal staff and vendor partners
+ Jump in on special projects and team initiatives as needed
Requirements
+ 1–3 years of hands-on accounts payable experience (BST Global knowledge is a bonus!
+ Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized in a fast-paced setting
+ Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, customer-first approach
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Adobe
+ A reliable, proactive, and team-oriented work ethic
