Entry Level Associate Test Technician Job Locations US-MN-St. Paul ID 2024-14953 Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Test Technician to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team in one of the various laboratories across Element, the Associate Test Technician position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision.  The technician positions must be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.

 

Responsibilities Prepare material specimens for testingPerform tests as directed by customer specificationsOperate under the supervision of a more senior test technician and/or a Department ManagerGather and record test dataConstruct and maintain various test fixtures and other laboratory equipmentPossess the ability to work alone periodically throughout the work day with supervisionUnderstand what must be completed each work day and takes the initiative to complete those tasks properly and timely - does not need Senior/Principal Technician or management to explain what the task isAbility to read and understand customer specifications and perform the testing requiredAble to develop a proven ability to set up and perform a variety of tests according to customer specifications under the supervision and technical input of Senior/Principal Skills / Qualifications Working knowledge of laboratory safetyHS diploma or GED certificate preferred. College or vocational school coursework welcomed0-2 years’ experience in a testing related fieldBasic understanding of testing conceptsPossess computer skills. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry a plus
