Entry Level Bridge Engineer
What You Will Do:

As Gannett Fleming continues to grow and expand, we are looking for an emerging Bridge Engineer to support our team in our Marlton, NJ office. We rely on our bridge engineers to perform design activities on various projects and to deliver high quality results for our clients. 


In this role, you will have the chance to work on exciting and engaging large-scale and small-scale infrastructure projects. The candidate will assist engineers in bridge calculations, designs, modeling, quantity take offs, and plan preparation. You’ll work with the best Engineers and Project Managers in the business, as well as gain experience working directly with our clients. We want you to be empowered to deliver the boldest solutions for everyday living.

This is a hybrid position, reporting 3 days onsite to the Marlton, NJ office.

Responsibilities

Provide 3D modelling, design, and drafting support for transportation structures such as bridges, culverts, retaining walls, utility vaults, noise abatement walls, sign structures, ITS structures, etc.Perform quantity calculations and develop cost estimates.Assist in the development of construction contract documents and review construction documents such as shop and working drawings.Coordinate work activities with other disciplines.Review inspection reports and perform bridge load ratings.Education | Experience:Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structures.0-2 years of experience in bridge design and/or detailing.Familiarity with plan development with CADD (MicroStation and/or AutoCAD).Knowledge of geometry, design Manuals, and Design Guidelines.Expertise with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).Ability to work independently and produce quality work as part of a design team.Strong written and oral communication skills.


Preferred Skills:

Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification.Structural design software such as: Openbridge, CSIBridge, or STAAD.Familiarity with New Jersey Turnpike Authority (NJTA) and New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) design criteria. Company Overview:
