POWER Engineers is currently seeking an entry-level civil or electrical engineer to work in its Power Delivery Underground Line Department in St. Louis, Missouri. Under the guidance of multiple experienced engineers, the successful candidate will be supporting project engineers and lead designers with underground transmission line design activities; including routing studies, design calculations, pulling calculations, plan & profiles, detailed drawings, writing of construction specifications, construction cost estimates, and project scheduling.
Required Education/Experience: BSEE (BS Electrical Engineering) or BSCE (BS Civil Engineering) degree, from an accredited university The candidate must have a strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills in order to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel Computer literacy and the ability to learn new computer software efficiently Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship Desired Education/Experience: Minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) Interest in underground line design and consulting engineering in the electric utility industry Attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills will be critical for completing tasks Familiarity with design, drafting, or engineering software such as MATHCAD, SOLIDWORKS, AUTOCAD, etc., as well as Microsoft Excel, is beneficial Prior internship and/or related engineering experience is a plus EIT registration and a desire to obtain a professional engineering license are qualifications that will be strongly considered for this positionAt POWER Engineers, you can have a rewarding career on every level.
