Overview:
A growing organization is seeking a motivated and proactive Junior IT Professional with aspirations to transition into the field of Cybersecurity. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about technology and security to gain hands-on experience in a variety of IT tasks, including system administration, network management, and cybersecurity. You'll work in a collaborative, small-team environment with a focus on internal growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
Cybersecurity Focus: Assist in designing and implementing systems and processes to safeguard electronic information. Monitor and assess potential security vulnerabilities, develop policies and procedures for reporting and responding to threats, and contribute to improving overall cybersecurity standards.System & Network Administration: Provide support and perform maintenance on PCs, servers, and applications. Configure, install, troubleshoot, upgrade, and repair hardware and software.Collaboration & Problem Solving: Work closely with network services and software engineering teams to restore services and identify core issues. Recreate user problems to resolve operational difficulties and suggest modifications to reduce recurring issues.User Support: Provide in-person and remote IT assistance to end-users, ensuring smooth IT operations across the organization.Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field (Associate Degree also considered).1+ years of experience in Windows Systems Administration.1+ years of experience in Network Administration.2+ years of hands-on experience with Active Directory & O365.A strong desire to transition into Cybersecurity and develop expertise in the field.Ideal Candidate Attributes:
Self-starter with a strong initiative and a desire to learn.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Ability to troubleshoot and resolve IT-related problems efficiently.Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.Work Environment:
100% on-site role based in a collaborative, small-team environment.Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (with flexibility for early start/finish as long as work is completed).The opportunity to work overtime when needed.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
