POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking an Entry-Level Distribution Engineer for the Power Delivery Distribution Department in Orlando, FL.
Roles and Responsibilities Perform distribution design, basic engineering calculations, as well as a variety of other tasks as assigned by utility clients Distribution design typically includes, but not limited to, field data collection, physical design, electrical design, and developing a bill of materials Required Education/Experience An engineering degree, from an ABET accredited university, preferably with a power option Must have strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel Strong knowledge and understanding of electrical engineering upon which to build Must be able to successfully pass client's background screening process Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Desired Education/Experience A BSEE, BSEET, or BSME degree, from an ABET accredited university, preferably with a power option A basic understanding of overhead and underground distribution circuits Engineer in Training certificate (EIT) or ability to obtain one upon hiring Internship or co-op experience with a utility Manage multiple tasks and work effectively with different personalities Travel should be expectedAt POWER Engineers, you can have a rewarding career on every level.
