Chassis Wiring Engineering within International Electrical Design is accountable for all design development and system ownership of the chassis section wiring systems across all vehicles. The Electrical Engineer will have firsthand experience in the design and development of Chassis Wiring Systems including but not limited to engine, transmission, aftertreatment, chassis accessories, electrical components. Responsibilities Good competency in 3D CAD modeling software (NX or similar). Basic understanding of Dimensioning & Tolerancing. Wire Harnesses 2D Drafting and Design Experience. Be directly involved in design release process. Generate ideas through Benchmarking, initiate engineering changes for cost reduction, new programs & quality improvement. Ability to interface with suppliers for Product Development and manage the overall timing. Ability to interface with cross-functional teams to resolve any issues as the product(s) move to production. Creation and execution of dFMEAs and DVPs. Problem solving experience. Creates, reviews, and updates standard processes and best practices. Reviews designs for completeness and accuracy. Self-driven: Receives minimal guidance, little instruction on day-to-day work, and general instructions on new assignments. Critical thinking: Continuously thinks about proposed solutions and if those meet requirements. Disciplined execution: Follows guidelines and procedures but remains flexible when necessary. Ability to work in a team environment: Gets work done through others by leading less experienced team members Ability to work with team members working on remote locations. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science OR Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science and will obtain degree prior to first day of employment Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. International Motors does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status) Desired Skills Electrical Engineering degree preferred Unigraphics (preferred) or other solid modeling cad software Positive Attitude, Ethics and International Values which support our company’s values, and a healthy, high-performance culture Experience with designing, concepting, and releasing electrical components Basic understanding of dimensioning 2D drawings Excellent oral, written, and communication skills High level of computer literacy – Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) Benefits and Compensation We provide a competitive total rewards package which ensures job satisfaction both on and off the job.
