The Plant Financial Analyst will assist with month and year close, journal entries, accruals, monthly and quarterly reconciliation of balance sheet/Income statement account to general ledger, ad hoc financial analysis, financial/strategic support to production and site leadership, actual vs budget vs forecast reporting, and analysis around labor costs and absorption. Must be an Excel power user and strong ERP experience with a strong preference to SAP experience highly desirable.
This position will report into the Manufacturing Finance Plant Leader and will be located at our Phillipsburg, NJ location.
What we’re looking for:
Education: Bachelors’ degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.Experience: Entry Level up to 2 years’ experience in accounting or finance.Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, specifically Excel (Pivot Tables, Data Connections, Advanced Formulas) required.Knowledge of ERP or MRP systems preferred but not required.Who you are:

Participates in the financial closing process, account reconciliations, monthly financial statements, supporting reports and variance analysis.Prepares journal entries and monthly reports for cost center spending, inventory adjustments and excess & obsolete.Works with A/P to oversee invoice accuracy and ensure three-way matching from Purchase order and Goods Receipts. Ensures procedures are being properly followed.Assist in vendor set up and bank verifications.Work closely with house buyers and receiving department when discrepancies arise with the invoice, purchase order and goods receipts.Work with project leaders in accumulating proper documentation for capital expenditures and submitting for approval as well as capital expenditure tracking and reporting.Works collaboratively with the operations management to analyze manufacturing variances, PPV, cost center spending and work-in-process.Assists in the yearly review of spending allocations used to develop overhead rates for the business and support areas assigned.Assists in the development and review of Plant standard costs.Assist in the calculation and recording of monthly inventory reserves in accordance with established policy.Participate in the development of Cost of Sales budget based on sales volume forecasts from each business unit and departmental expense budgets provided by Financial Planning and Analysis.Participate in forecasting Cost of Sales on a monthly and quarterly basis.Supports company inventory control procedures and helps to ensure appropriate controls over company assets.Prepare ad hoc cost analysis reports to assist Plant Controller and operational leadership in decision-making.Supports Plant Controller and Production Control to ensure Bills of Materials (BOM) are accurate and up to date.Assists and helps evaluate and implement changes to procedures to improve efficiencies and create consistency in procedures.Performs other duties as assigned.Disclaimer:
