Visit arcfield.com for more details. Responsibilities This position is an entry level Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) who will join the Arcfield team in Chantilly, VA. We are looking for someone that is a self-starter and works well within a team environment. The candidate will work directly with program managers and system security engineers on all phases of the system life cycle development. They will also be expected to: Assist the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) in meeting the information security program’s duties and responsibilities. Develop and implement facility procedures to govern marking, handling, controlling, removing, transporting, sanitizing, reusing, and destroying media and equipment containing classified national security equipment. Conduct data transfers between different levels of systems, as a data transfer agent/officer. Conduct continuous monitoring activities for information system(s) assigned, per the Government customer’s processes. Prepare, review, and update authorization packages; ensure all documentation is current and accessible to properly authorized individuals. Make notifications to the ISSM when changes occur that might affect the authorization determination of the information system(s). Conduct periodic reviews of the system(s) to ensure compliance, per the Government customer’s processes (vulnerability and compliance scanning). Coordinate any changes or modifications to hardware, software, or firmware of the system(s) with the ISSM and via the Government customer’s processes. Conduct weekly audits, per the Government customer’s processes. Monitor system recovery processes to ensure security features and procedures are properly restored and functioning correctly. Support re-accreditation and authorization (A&A) efforts. Assist the ISSM with data spills and remediation, when needed. Perform other ISSO duties as required. Possess familiarity in our government tools (Nessus, Splunk, etc) is highly recommended. Should be IAT level 2 certified. Qualifications Must reside in the greater region of Chantilly, VA as this position is not eligible for remote work. Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or higher with 0-2 years of Information Systems or Information Technology experience; or a High School Diploma, along with 6-8 years of Information Systems or Information Technology experience.
