Entry-Level IT Security Governance & Compliance Analyst
Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Information Security Governance & Compliance Analyst to support our organization's security and compliance initiatives. In this entry-level role, you will assist with internal audits, security operations, risk management, and threat intelligence efforts. The ideal candidate will have experience in compliance frameworks, security operations, and data analysis to help strengthen our organization's information security posture. Key Responsibilities: + Support internal audit evidence collection to ensure compliance with industry standards, including SOC 1 and SOC 2. + Assist with third-party risk management audits to evaluate vendor compliance with security policies and regulations. + Contribute to cyber insurance application processes by gathering and validating required security documentation. + Conduct data analysis for simulated phishing campaigns to assess risk metrics and security awareness effectiveness. + Manage and maintain the Information Security SharePoint site to enhance employee engagement and streamline access to security resources. + Assist in security operations investigations and analysis. + Monitor, review, and respond to incidents and alerts in the SIEM environment + Support detection, analysis, containment, eradication, and response activities for potential and active threats. + Participate in threat hunting initiatives to proactively identify and mitigate security risks. + Engage in the cyber threat intelligence life cycle, including planning, collection, processing, analysis, dissemination, and feedback. + Publish security reports to brief managers and executives on emerging threats and evolving risks. Requirements + Experience or understanding of information security compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 1, SOC 2, NIST, ISO 27001). + Familiarity with security operations, SIEM tools, and incident response procedures. + Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and assess security data. + Experience with phishing simulations, risk assessment, and security awareness programs. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
