Focus: The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for resolving plant issues, driving improvements, and sharing knowledge to strengthen the performance of the team. The Maintenance Engineer works with other individuals and teams to establish and achieve annual spending plans, production commitments to the business, and cost goals.
Maintenance Engineer Essential Job Functions:
Serves as Subject Matter Expert in equipment failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations, as well as providing expertise on troubleshooting failures and repairsProvides leadership and direction in the day-to-day decision making for the operating area of responsibility while networking with other engineers on site and within the business to leverage knowledge on plant operationsFor process-critical equipment, ensures that work requests include engineering input on repair details such as clearances, tolerances, materials of construction, welding procedures, etc. and if necessary, provides onsite/offsite technical support for deviations from this dataShares on-call responsibilities with other plant personnel. Helps coordinate area of responsibility during planned shutdown and maintenance activitiesApplies skills and technical knowledge to support and develop job scopes, plans and supports execution during projects, turnarounds, shutdowns, and start-upsMaintenance Engineer Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree* in Engineering discipline; Mechanical preferred. Degree must be completed between May 1, 2024, and May 31, 2025.Must have an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. (Documentation required)Demonstrated ability to problem solve and work in a team environment.Co-op or internship experience in a manufacturing process environment preferred.Must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
