Job Summary 

We are currently seeking individuals to work in the fields of Position, Navigation and Timing (PNT), Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), Global Positioning System (GPS), or other RF or satellite communications engineering to join our team in Aberdeen, Maryland.

We are seeking applicants who can deliver innovative solutions and work in an environment that encourages agile, mission-driven approaches that deliver valuable results through efficient means to their customers.

 Key Responsibilities: 

Design hardware approaches: Design approaches for hardware in the loop testing of GPS and GNSS receivers, physical setup and measurement of results, as well as analysis and reporting of the findings.Write software: Write integration softwareDesign & write algorithms: Design and write algorithms for situational awarenessRapid Prototyping Assistance: Assist in rapid prototyping efforts for Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR) technologiesEffective collaboration & communication: Interface and communicate clearly with customers and co-workers.

Work Environment: 

Location: Hybrid Travel Requirements: Minimal 0-10%  Working Hours: Flexible 

Qualifications: 

Required: 

Clearance eligibility: Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearanceEducation: Bachelor’s Degree or similar experience in a relevant technical field (Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar)RF Field experience: 0-5 years’ technical experience in communications or navigation or similar RF fieldRelevant knowledge or interest: Knowledge or interest in digital design and processing or radio frequency signalsTheoretical/Practical Knowledge: Theoretical and practical knowledge in areas of communications, navigation, electronic warfare, navigation warfare, digital signal processing, and electrical engineeringOperating Systems Experience: Experience with Linux and Windows based operating systemsProgramming language expertise: Strong knowledge with Python, C#, C++, JAVA or other similar languagesWriting/Communication: Technical writing and verbal communications skillsTeam/individual contribution: Experience working in team/individual environments

Desired: 

Lab experience: Including but not limited to oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, soldering, making cables, populating/fixing PCBs, etc.Navigation & Positioning experience: GPS or GNSS experienceHardware testing: - Experience testing hardware in the loop Customer Relations: - Experience managing customer relations

Basic Compensation: 

$79,600.00 – $85,000.00 

This range is for the MD area only 

  

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity. 

  

Additional Compensation: 

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
