Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Machine Operator to set-up, operate, and maintain our filling machines. This role is crucial in ensuring the quality and safety of our products. The position requires working in a fast-paced food production environment with the ability to work night shifts.
ResponsibilitiesSet-up, operate, and maintain filling machine.Perform and record quality checks to ensure shelf-life integrity and package quality.Perform nominal maintenance on equipment.Perform and document CIP’S and in-process sanitation on equipment and/or area as needed.Ensure food safety and quality protocols are followed.Ensure all Safety and GMP regulations are followed at all times.Utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, face shields, hearing protection, safety shoes, gloves, and aprons.Provide coverage in the absence of other Machine Operators.Input redzone codes accurately and in a timely manner.Other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsExperience in packaging, machine operation, warehouse operations, and forklift usage.Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) in food manufacturing.General labor skills.Strong interpersonal communication skills including the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.Strong basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) and the ability to read charts and monitors.Ability to multitask and work with moderate supervision.Detail-oriented with strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to push up to 300 pounds and pull up to 500 pounds with mechanical assistance.Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds frequently. For items over 50 pounds or awkward items, use the buddy system.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong odors/smells.Ability to stand for 12+ hours.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
This role operates in a fast-paced food production environment, monitoring the packaging line and product that just came out of the packaging machine. The work environment can have strong odors/smells and requires the ability to stand for 12+ hours. Steel toe boots are required for all production and warehouse positions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tualatin, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $20.50/hr.
