Join Us as an Proving Grounds Operations Engineer!

 

International Proving Grounds has an exciting opportunity for an entry level engineer on the operations team at their Proving Grounds in New Carlisle, Indiana. The engineer will report to the site Operations Manager. They will support the activities of running the Proving Grounds as well as increase its technical capabilities. International products which include heavy trucks and school buses. Future vision of the site includes expanding capabilities to design/develop/validate electric and autonomous vehicles. This is a 100% on-site position.

Responsibilities Coordinate, schedule, and track vehicle test activities primarily for internal projectsDocument and assist with resolution of test issuesAssist with procurement of test related hardware and equipmentDirect the work of technicians and drivers on assigned projectsCollect and analyze data using strain gages, accelerometers, etc.Interpret and apply customer procedures, specifications, drawings, etc. to projects as requiredWrite incident reports, and final test reportsSupporting running of the on-going validation, build activities and uptime shop operations.Working with cross functional design and development teams to investigate needed technologies on-site to support the development, build, and validation of emerging technologies.Specify, quote, and/or build vehicle build and test equipment.General labor around facility. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science
