Job Responsibilities:

Interface effectively with construction field supervisors, vendors, subcontractors, internal staff, and management by facilitating the flow of information, and researching and responding to inquiriesResolve invoice/PO issues with Vendors/Trade PartnersMaintain Vendor/Supplier/Trade Partner item pricing and bids in the purchasing systemPrepare weekly and monthly reports on budgeting performance and other purchasing-related topics, as necessaryManage Vendor/ Supplier/Trade Partner information, including contracts and insurance database, pricing and services information necessary for construction budgetingProcessing change orders and preparing lot specific information for startsAssist with special projects as needed by the Purchasing Team
QualificationsEagerness to learn about purchasing and the homebuilding industry and completion of on-the-job trainingProven ability to manage many moving parts in a professional setting with multiple ongoing prioritiesClear and concise communication with internal and external customersComfortable talking with people you’ve never met and communicating with various sources to gather essential informationAbility to manage many simultaneously moving parts effectivelyEfficient and effective follow-up and organization skills to meet and exceed deadlinesProven ability to take initiative and complete tasks independently without needing repeated promptsPositive, enthusiastic attitude and strong work ethicUnderstanding of basic construction, purchasing and/or insurance terminology is a plus, but not requiredDemonstrate curiosity and a strong desire to learn and grow with a company focused on future growthProficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and basic computer knowledge. Experience with J.D. Edwards or other database systems preferred. Able to pick up software quickly
Additional Information

Experience in home building and purchasing is not required, however a desire to learn and willingness to support the Team by taking responsibilities and acting on time-sensitive needs is critical.
