Entry-Level Vehicle Performance Validation Engineer

International Motors LLC is looking for a full time employee to join the Vehicle Performance Field Test team. The group manages a fleet of vchicles that are driven of customer representative routes to support relability growth demonstration plans. You will troubleshoot issues during testing, create work orders to support the field test plan and provide regular updates to the Field Test Manager. Responsibilities Perform pre-test and post-test vehicle inspections Create work orders in Maitenance Connection to support the field test plan Diagnose and troubleshoot issues Review drivers report and weekly inspection reports Create pycls of issues (inclde pictures, data, and significant details) Fluent in operation of all vehicle control modules (ECM, BCM, TCM). Knowledge of parts identification and ordering systems Knowledge of service portal Work directly with Quality Validation, and other Product Development Engineering groups Ability to travel to remote test locations Ability to make decisions in the field and document those decisions Create field test "specialized" procedures as required Ability to travel up to 25% with trips varying from 1 day to 2 weeks in duration when neccesary. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science OR Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science and will obtain degree prior to first day of employment Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. International Motors does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status) Desired Skills Positive Attitude, Ethics and International Values which support our company’s values, and a healthy, high performance culture Effective teaming skills – proven ability to function effectively in a cross-functional team Strong process orientation experience Understanding of International’s Product Center and Product Management organizations Basic Understanding of truck applications and associated product requirements Excellent oral, written, and communication skills Familiar with test equipment (thermocouples, transducers, frequency sensors, etc.), multimeters, etc. Familiar with data aqusition systems (ETAS, Canalyzer, National Instruments, Somat, or equivalent) Familiar with shop tools (hand tools, pnuematic tools, pallet jacks, etc.) High level of computer literacy – Office suite, computer networking knowledge, and processing software Company Overview At International Motors, LLC* (“International”), we’ve never backed away from forging our own path.
