The Vendor Coordinator is responsible for helping to identify and evaluate potential vendors, cultivating vendor relationships, and assessing vendor related risks. Onsite attendance is required.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Ensuring compliance with Vendor Relations procedures.Managing vendor pricing changes, invoicing issues, cost reductions and vendor meetings and activities.Assisting in the negotiation and strategy of vendor contracts.Maintaining UWM’s vendor contract database.Performing vendor due diligence and risk analysis.Developing and maintaining Vendor Relations related documentation.Performing periodic reviews of vendor performance and developing, managing and monitoring vendor performance improvement plans.Working with legal team to ensure the legal soundness of the contractual relationships between UWM and its vendors.Maintaining Company’s approved vendor list.Assisting Travel Coordinator in the management of corporate travel including negotiating travel agreements/discounts, scheduling team member travel, and supporting/resolving travel related issues. Supporting the Head of Vendor Relations and Senior Vendor Coordinator.Other duties as assigned WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU Bachelor Degree or equivalent and relevant job experienceHave the ability to analyze cost structures related to vendor pricing proposals.Have the ability to successfully negotiate price, timing, and terms consistent with UWM’s objectives.Have knowledge of fundamental purchasing practices, procedures, and policies.Have knowledge of contracting process, standard elements of a vendor contract, and negotiation tactics.Have a commitment to continuous business improvement.Have an understanding of the business needs and requirements for procured goods and servicesHave knowledge of vendor service level agreements, key performance indicators, and risk management techniques.Be capable of working closely with internal clients and vendors.Have effective planning, organizational and project management skills.Be able to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively.Have the ability to lead projects and work as facilitator among multiple teams.Be able to negotiate effectively with internal clients and vendors.Have excellent written and communication skills.Have the ability to work independently.Have the ability to assess future needs within the organization and develop action plans for leveraging vendor’s strengths.
