Basic/Minimum Requirements:

Must be currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s degree or master’s degree program in one of the following: Environmental Health & Safety Engineering, Environmental Science Engineering, or Industrial Hygiene. Minimum completion of Sophomore level coursework from an accredited institution. Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Employees/Interns must be legally authorized to work in the United States. This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items..

Preferred Qualifications:

Seeking strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent analytical and organization skills. Ability to multi-task and work in a self-directed or team environment.   Relevant internship/work/research experience preferred. Project Management. Comfortable with exposure to a manufacturing environment.

We are seeking motivated and talented engineering students to join our team for our summer internship program. This program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various engineering disciplines. The program is anticipated to start at the end of May 2025, and run through the beginning of August 2025, with the total duration anticipated to be between 10-12 weeks.

The Environment Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer Intern position will be located in Niles, Oh.  We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic student to join our team as an Engineer Summer Intern. This position will assist engineering and manufacturing in driving improvements in quality and delivery performance through process control and product improvement initiatives.

Intern Summer Project: Hand Injury Reduction Project

Each intern will pair with area Manager to identify a significant hand safety risk in their department. The intern will work with the department management to implement layers of protection that reduce the risk to acceptable levels. The intern will document the process and prepare a presentation for management on the project.

Daily Job Duties and Goals to be accomplished:

Industrial hygiene sampling Industrial hygiene assessments Injury and incident investigation Fatality prevention audits PPE assessments  Lockout tagout process improvements Hand safety risk reduction projects and environmental sampling
