Job Description The incumbent will take a leading role in overseeing and managing EHS and delivering the STT GDC Philippines EHS strategy across
the various business portfolios in the PH.

Primary roles include ensuring compliance reporting and EHS
performance of the in-country business units are aligned with STT GDC's Group
Minimum Standards (GMS) and industry best practice/world-class standards; working in collaboration with cross-border teams to identify key EHS gaps/challenges in the areas of design, construction and operations to address related risks and opportunities; reviewing and recommending robust processes and procedures for implementation to improve EHS governance,
structure and performance. This includes identifying and addressing EHS training needs, and developing implementation plans to ensure competence within the business and operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Work in collaboration with the Country senior management team to establish and execute the STT GDC
(Country's) EHS strategy/plan, goals and objectives, and performance standards in alignment with Group EHS
strategy.
• Provide support to the Country, business units and Group EHS function in overseeing and managing EHS in
design and execution across the various business portfolios to drive positive EHS outcomes.
• Lead the establishment and implementation of a robust EHS Management System for the business units,
including all relevant companywide EHS processes, procedures, protocols and programs, in alignment with STT GDC Group EHS framework.
• Develop and implement a robust EHS assurance process for the country and business units, ensuring GMS performance standards and controls are effectively implemented.
• Ensure workplaces, construction projects and DC operations are subject to EHS assessments/audits (including independent audits) for compliance with Group EHS Assurance Plan at agreed intervals.
• Support the business units, construction projects and DC operations in the review of:
a) EHS and application of GMS for new developments from design through delivery phase and operation; and
b) current EHS standards and practices against GMS, and where gaps exist, development of action plans to ensure compliance.
• Monitor EHS performance to identify emerging issues and trends and engage with in-country business units/construction/DC operation leaders to develop and implement improvement plans where required.
• Ensure effective implementation of the Group Incident Management Standards, all statutory reporting, investigation, and record of such EHS incidents in compliance with GMS/Group standards and statutory requirements, and that appropriate people interact with any government or industry authorities.
• Work in collaboration with the Group EHS Analyst to derive and analyse EHS data and trends across business units, construction projects and DC operations to identify key emerging issues and areas of focus to effectively
manage EHS risks and drive overall improvement.
• Work in collaboration with the business units to develop, establish and maintain risk profiles, and design/lead programmes, improvement plans and innovative work processes towards achieving best-in-class EHS standards.
• Facilitate the collation and sharing of EHS knowledge, lessons learned (including from incidents) and leading practices to provide for continual improvement.
• Establish and maintain an EHS Competency Framework in accordance with training needs identified for the PH business.
• Be an active advocate to inspire, promote and support the building of a culture of safety to drive positive changes that help create and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
• Keep abreast of the EHS best-practice landscape and where appropriate, make recommendations.
• Address change management and adapt EHS plans to ensure fit-for-purpose response(s) as a result of alterations to EHS legislation, industry standards, or changes to organizational structures or arrangements.

Qualifications & Training
• Bachelor’s Degree in EHS-related Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Technology or related field.
• Recognized EHS-related professional certification and/or accreditation.
• Knowledge and experience in the field of EHS management (engineering or construction), preferably in the data centre environment.
• Exposure and knowledge of international EHS standards and best practices.

Professional Background
• Minimum 10 years of working experience in managing EHS in design and construction, preferably in the data centre environment. Experience in EHS management in an asset-related field will be an added advantage.
• Experienced in the development and roll-out of EHS management systems, processes and programmes, with knowledge of safety system analysis and proficiency in conducting data analysis and reporting leading and lagging statistical indicators.
• Experienced in promoting and driving EHS culture across businesses and in a construction project/asset environment.
• Experience in managing and driving EHS outcomes across different challenging geographies.

Language Proficiencies
• Excellent written and verbal communication competence and skills in English.
• Excellent written and verbal communication competence and skills in the relevant national/local language.

Computer Proficiencies
• Proficient in the use of MS Office suite of programmes.
• Proficient in the use of digital EHS Management tools and applications.
• Proficiency in the application and use of analytics software/programmes (e.g., Power BI) will be an added advantage.

Other Skillsets
• Planning and organizing, problem solving and analytical thinking skills with the ability to work through issues, and guide and coach others in the resolution of problems.
• Experience in communicating with statutory authorities and industry bodies, in particular regard to EHS matters and governance.
• Strong leader and team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to influence and communicate across the organisation at all levels and clearly articulate our EHS strategy, requirements and outcomes effectively to business leaders and key customer representatives.
