Environment, Health & Safety Representative - GTM
Overview We are currently seeking a Go-to-Market (GTM) Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Associate Representative for our EHS team based out of Alberta. This is a multi-site role supporting 5 sites and reports into the National GTM EHS Senior Manager. This role will contribute to PepsiCo Beverages Canada’s success by providing EHS support to our Sales, Delivery, Merchandizing, Fleet, Transportation, Pepsi Equipment Services (PES), and Satellite Warehouse Teams. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as required so to assist the GTM EHS Senior Manager in executing the broader EHS plan. Responsibilities To ensure that the locations comply with Environmental Health and Safety Legislation and operates within the internal Global Environmental, Health and Safety Management System (GEHSMS) Assist the locations to meet the location EHS targets for incident frequency, severity and related risk management, accident reduction, cost reductions and drive proactive safety culture through effective communications and continuous improvement. Own multiple standards across the Health and Safety model, including Incident Investigation and Risk Assessment. Provide regular coaching to other standard Duty Holders. Assists internal program element leaders in building EHS capabilities and competencies so to continuously improve the EHS program Partner operations leaders to conduct effective investigations and develop sustainable plans to prevent reoccurrence. Support field leaders with the execution and implementation of the annual EHS Performance to Plan To provide expert guidance on all safety and environment related matters and give information, advice and coaching on relevant legislation (Federal/ Provincial/Local Regulators) and internal EHS systems and reinforcement of site standards. Implements and executes necessary policies, procedures, work instructions and training conforming to PepsiCo’s Global Environmental Health and Safety Management System (GEHSMS) Lead & support site leaders with Over the Road compliance processes including driver qualification, hours of service, vehicle condition reporting, road-side stops and incident logs (online database for driver documents & Ministry of Transportation compliance) Lead incident investigation process, including root cause analysis and identification of corrective action plans. Leading the defensive driver (Test Drive) program – Frontline Leaders - (training, documentation compliance, record keeping) so to ensure capability Facilitate the execution of technical training from the annual training plan (i.e. ergonomics, spill, LOTO, PIT) Plans and facilitates the completion of the annual EHS training Support change management projects to ensure safety is designed in and projects are safely executed. Demonstrates professional maturity and ability to act as a change leader Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or High school diploma with 3-5 years EHS/MOT/OSHA work experience Functional EHS knowledge in regulatory requirements, EHS technical aspects (EHS/MOT/OHSA, industrial hygiene, environmental regulatory management, risk management, behavior-based safety, training, regulatory agency enforcement Knowledge and experience with EHS Management systems and their deployment. EHS management experience in a related industry, including consumer packaged goods, distribution/transportation, manufacturing or grocery industry Effective communication and interpersonal skills including public speaking skills and presence in meetings and training environments Demonstrate excellent organizational skills use PC and related software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Power BI) handle multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines Ability to make and deliver training presentations work collaboratively with colleagues to create a result driven.
