Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) Intern (Alajuela, Costa Rica)

The ESG Intern will gain experience through assisting the ESG team with increasing our data maturity and supporting our regulatory, customer and investor priorities. The intern will report to the Sr Director, ESG Regulations & Reporting and work closely with the Global Lead, Sustainability Data Systems and the broader ESG team.

What will you be doing?

Assisting with ESG data collection and validation across our ESG pillars with particular emphasis on product and packaging composition dataAnalyzing ESG data to identify best practices and emerging trends Learning industry regulations and standards related to ESG reportingAssisting with maintaining our internal ESG questionnaire for tendering, ensuring the data and responses are accurateLearning about ESG both within Smith+Nephew and the broader industry

What will you need to be successful?

Currently enrolled in a degree program at university. ESG spans many areas, including Sustainability Management, Corporate Social Responsibility, Environmental Science, Communications, Engineering, Data Science, Data Analytics or a related subject area.Strong communication skillsAttention to detailAbility to work independently and in a teamAdaptability and flexibility. Advanced English Proficiency.
