We're on the lookout for talented and motivated Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Intern, or similar related major, to join our team to support the overall safety function of our organization. As an Environmental, Health, and Safety Intern, you'll be an integral part of our manufacturing team, working closely with our experienced EHS Manager and Maintenance/Engineering Manager. You'll gain hands-on experience in understanding our current business safety processes and assisting in improving the overall safety for our members. Responsibilities: + Collaborate with EHS Manager and Maintenance/Engineering Manager to understand our current safety processes. + Conduct gap analysis on Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) specific procedures for all machinery. + Review and update job hazard analysis and develop recommendations to reduce or eliminate these hazards. + Complete Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) assessments for all job tasks to ensure that the appropriate equipment is being worn to minimize exposure to a variety of hazards + Work with shift leaders to help identify and understand safety concerns. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive safety enhancements. + Stay up to date with new/existing OSHA regulations to ensure compliance. + Some travel required as needed to our facilities in Delavan, WI and West Allis, WI. Qualifications Qualifications: + Currently pursuing or recent completion of a degree in Environmental, Health, and Safety or a related field. + Eagerness to learn and a strong passion for manufacturing with a continuous safety improvement mindset. + Hands on approach when solving manufacturing process concerns related to safety. + Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. + Strong communication and teamwork abilities. + Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. + Basic knowledge OSHA regulations. + Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications like Word, Excel, and Outlook. + Basic electrical knowledge would be preferred.
