Reporting to the plant manager at our Quincy, MI manufacturing facility, local producer of Hebrew National products, you will manage our plant Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) programs to ensure operations minimize the impact upon the environment and provide a safe and accident-free work environment. You will lead and help develop a facility-wide EHS culture through technical support, program development, and collaboration across multiple departments. You will implement safety concepts to provide the road map to zero injuries and world class performance. Promote plant safety, environmental responsibility and sustainability stewardship by working with all departments to analyze current situation and recommend improvements.

How Can You Affect Our Business?Manages all aspects of environmental, health, safety and sustainable development programsDirect environmental compliance and performance functions observing government regulations, corporate compliance guidelines and applicable environmental requirementsGuide and direct our plant toward compliance of State, Federal and local Safety and Environmental regulations and submittal of all environmental reports.Promote an accident-free work environment by developing programs that train, monitor and assure a safe workplaceSupport accident investigations and prepare accident reports required by regulatory agenciesAnalyze accident data to identify trends and accident types that can be prevented.Administer initial Workers Compensation functionsConduct inspections and audits in plant and at other facilities to detect existing or potential accident hazards and determine corrective or preventative measuresOversee the Central Safety Committee through active participation and being a resource for each groupDetermine and direct necessary compliance training for all individuals to assure OSHA, TOSHA, EPA and Conagra training requirements

Do You Have What it Takes?Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Safety Management, Environmental Health and Safety, or other relevant5 years of related industrial safety experience5 years management experience or leading teamsExperience with OSHA, EPA and DOT regulationsExperience working with storm/waste water and State and Federal regulationsExperience writing regulatory reports, business correspondence and procedure manualsExperience performing risk assessments
