Required Minimum Qualifications: 

Serves as a subject matter expert and corporate point of contact for environmental matters. Develops, implements, administers, and maintains corporate environmental standards and programs in accordance with legal and company requirements.  Develops content for environmental related training required by regulations and associated programs. Assists in the development and maintenance of the company’s ISO 14001 certifications at our manufacturing locations and potentially HQ.Supports corporate and facility related environmental compliance obligations associated with applicable federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA). This includes maintaining environmental compliance calendars for each site, coordinating with vendors as needed for permit initiatives, sampling events and other reporting obligations. Supports facility Sr. HSE Coordinator’s with permitting activities as needed. Support data collection and validation for environmental data to support the company’s ESG obligations including but not limited to annual GHG emissions reporting and other environmental ESG-related goals. Monitor appropriate systems for management of environmental related data to support compliance with environment permits and associated regulations. Support collection of data necessary to meet environmental sustainability reporting.Works closely with Global HSE Manager to respond to regulatory inquiries, inspections and/or notices of violation pertaining to HSE regulatory requirements, corporate standards or ESG related inquiries. Audits effectiveness of existing environmental programs and management systems and updates as necessary to ensure compliance and effective performance. Supports KV facility by conducting periodic environmental walkthroughs, inspections and/or audits of facility operations. Monitors findings and management of corrective actions to ensure timely resolution of findings from incidents, inspections, and audits. Maintains KV’s environmental compliance records associated with their air and stormwater permits including semi-annual stormwater sampling activities.Manages corporate environmental standards and programs, including record keeping for air, water/stormwater, and special/hazardous waste management programs.Takes a lead role in implementing emergency response standards related to environmental spills and releases.  Reviews facility’s SPCC plans, emergency action plans and other environmental release and reporting plans to ensure adequate coverage.  Participate in review of any environmental spills or releases to recommend corrective actions.  Responsible implementation of the corporate facility security programs including managing the implementation and maintenance of the system for managing and monitoring physical access to company locations.  This includes employee and contractor badge access, monitoring security recordings in the event of a potential security issues, updating content for security related training programs such as active shooter training, guidance documents for employees regarding security recommendations and access to the sites during working and non-working hours, etc.Will participate on the HQ First Aid/CPR team and will lead the HQ safety committee.  Will coordinate with vendors and coordinate inspection and maintenance of the HQ office’s fire extinguishers, first aid cabinets, and coordinate periodic emergency drills working with the landlord. Serves as one of the points of contact for CHEMTREC in the event of an emergency or spill of GT products during transportation.Maintain good working knowledge of the company’s manufacturing activities and applicable environmental and security related regulations. Monitor for changes.

Required Minimum Qualifications: 

A minimum of 7 years professional work experience in a safety role in an industrial / manufacturing environment.  A minimum of 4 years professional work experience in an environmental role desired but not mandatory.  Must be proficient in federal, state, and local environmental and security related regulations, applicable industry standards, and/or environmental and security best practices. Relevant environmental certifications (e.g., CEP) a plus but not required.Strong working knowledge of environmental management systems. Experience with ISO 14001 standards a plus.Must have good working knowledge and/or the ability to quickly learn applicable federal, state and local environmental regulations and applicable standards related to air emissions, water/stormwater management, solid and hazardous waste management practices as they apply to Greene Tweed operations. Good working knowledge of SARA, SPCC, SWPPP, emergency response preparedness, Hazardous Materials handling, etc.Must have a good working knowledge and/or the ability to quickly learn standards associated with GHG emissions reporting including the GHG Protocols and Science Based Target Initiatives goal setting process.First aid / CPR / AED certification or the ability to obtain certification within 3 months of accepting the position is required.Ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization since the position will support multiple managers (facility and value stream) within the facility.Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.  Program and project management skills are critical. Must possess strong analytical skills to evaluate facility HSE awareness and behaviors.  Must be able to evaluate performance metrics and establish the necessary plans to drive continuous improvement.  Ability to act as a “change agent” to drive culture change. Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.  Ability to work with HSE data management software and analyze data. Ability to maintain accurate records to support compliance and program management.

Education

BS / BA in an appropriate science or technical field is required unless an appropriate amount of equivalent experience is demonstrated.
