Your Opportunity 

We have an immediate opportunity for a (junior level) Environmental Data Management Specialist to join our dynamic Environmental Remediation team in Walnut Creek or Pasadena, CA. The successful candidate will work independently as well as within the Information Services team to manage database systems, assist colleagues in performing data-related tasks, and networking with internal clients. 

As part of our Data Management Team, you will: 

Work on a wide variety of environmental projects at a time, on sites located throughout the United States.
Manage and organize laboratory, field, spatial and geological data to ensure quality and consistency.
Maintain and query data using EQuIS, MS Access and MS SQL Server
Produce data reports using in-house software and/or specialized queries.
Frequently use MS Excel spreadsheets for data pre and/or post database processing.
Actively communicate and coordinate with project managers, laboratories, and other team members to acquire data packages of varying formats to be imported to a centralized database system. Your Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following: 

Familiar with using and understanding Federal/Provincial/Municipal/State regulatory guidelines.
Strong attention to detail
Passion for working with data and have had exposure to environmental analytical data.
Strong problem-solving skills
Capable of working both independently and in a team environment
Ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines
Strong verbal communication skills 
Experience with EarthSoft EQuIS and/or MS Access and/or SQL Server
Proficient with MS Excel and formulas

Education and Experience

B.A. or B.S. in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Chemistry, Geography or related field, or a certificate/diploma in Database Management, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Geography, or related field. 

Minimum 2+ years of experience of related data management experience in the environmental or analytical chemistry sector.
