CDM Smith is looking for an entry-level Environmental or Civil Engineer to join our Water Services Group in Bellevue,WA to work on a diverse portfolio of projects with our Water Services Group locally and across the West. This position presents an excellent opportunity for early career candidates to apply their engineering skills to innovative and sustainable water projects and to grow within a dynamic team. In this role, you will support the planning, design, and implementation of water and wastewater treatment facilities, pipelines, and associated infrastructure for water, wastewater, and reuse systems.

Your tasks could include:

Performing engineering tasks to support the planning and design of water, water reuse, and wastewater treatment facilities; primary and secondary wastewater processes; solids treatment processes; groundwater treatment; pump stations; chemical feed systems; collection and conveyance systems; and storage and mixing facilities.
Reviewing draft designs and reports for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Performing site reviews and studies to ensure designs are aligned with location specifications and updating design requirements as necessary.
Assisting in master planning, research, conceptual design, and plant hydraulics
Analyzing data for trends in water use, water quality, or operations.
Supporting program management services for waste projects.

This role requires strong communication and teamwork with staff in our local and regional offices and various engineering disciplines in other offices.
