Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our dynamic team of professionals in our Charleston, Asheville, Greenville, or Columbia offices. This position provides an opportunity for established engineers with civil/environmental experience to join our team of engineering and environmental scientists to provide a comprehensive range of services to our clients in civil and environmental engineering, surveying, and environmental consulting.
ResponsibilitiesPerform basic professional environmental engineering work relating to air emission sources, hazardous or solid waste facilities, water supply facilities, industrial and agricultural facilities, pollution sources, existing site conditions, water resources, and underground storage tanks.Perform project work receiving guidance from a Principal.Prepare environmental permit applications for industrial and municipal clients to obtain environmental permits for new sources or modified sources.Provide compliance support for industrial and municipal clients in air, water, waste, wastewater, EPCRA, and stormwater.Support business development efforts in conjunction with our sales team.Complete projects and handle multiple tasks appropriately while achieving quality results. Understand scheduling, cost control, estimating, and meeting client commitments. Develop and use early warning systems to determine when results are not on target and take corrective action.Maintain a knowledge base of regulations and guidelines relevant to required areas of specialty and appropriately apply this knowledge to consulting requirements for the client’s project requirements.Essential SkillsEnvironmental engineeringCivil engineeringEnvironmental complianceRegulatory compliancePermitting applications for industrial and municipal clientsStorm Water Prevention plans, Air quality Plan, etc.Business development experienceConsulting experience/background in environmental science or engineeringAdditional Skills & QualificationsBS in Engineering required (Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical with an environmental background)3-5+ years of permitting and compliance experience required working as a consultantEIT or PE in NC or SCExcellent oral and written communication skillsProficiency in Word and ExcelWork Environment
The team is made up of 5 people. This individual will report to the group leader. There is a remote opportunity, but the candidate would need to report to the office if desired and split time to go onsite for a project. Traveling is required to sites (15% travel) - gas will be reimbursed, and a company credit card will be provided.
