The Volvo Trucks North America New River Valley Plant is located adjacent to the Blueridge mountains in Dublin, Virginia. The NRV Plant is the largest plant globally within the Volvo Truck Group and is home to 100% of all Volvo trucks produced for the North America market.   

With 2 million square feet under roof, on a site of over 550 acres the New River Valley Plant is poised to continue its growth with new product and industrial projects.

Job Summary/Core Responsibilities


           Lead- Energy/Sustainability Program (ESP) & Air Permitting Activities (Title V)
•    Technical expert in leading air permitting compliance activities.
•    Lead the vision for the ESP program through technical expertise, effective communication, strategy development and business processes that align with plant and corporate goals. 
•    Continue to build and lead a cross functional team that strives for a more sustainable future and a carbon neutral footprint in all that we do.
•    Partner with internal teams and external vendors to ensure understanding and implementation of energy and sustainability initiatives.
•    Manage ISO50001 activities and reporting elements. 

         Support- Environmental Compliance Program (ECP)


•    Multi-media environmental permitting and compliance activities 
•    Environmental database and tracking system initiatives
•    Routine communications with regulatory agencies
•    Plant compliance oversight and recordkeeping requirements
•    Environmental inspection/audit activities

•    Ability to communicate effectively within various teams and work environments.

 

Minimum Years of Experience Required:
•    Four (4) years of related work experience required.

Other Desired Requirements: 
•    Database experience
•    Sustainability and energy program certifications/experience
•    Extensive experience with Title V air permitting
•    Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
•    Environmental compliance experience in areas of air permitting, hazardous waste, wastewater and stormwater. 
•    Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or Applied Sciences
