_Our client, a leading chemical manufacturer, is seeking a skilled Environmental Compliance Manager to join their team near Boise, ID! This individual would be responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, promoting public health and welfare, and supporting the company’s environmental objectives._
**Location:** Boise, Idaho area – (offers strong relocation package)
**Job type:** Fully onsite
**Salary:** $140k- $150k annually, full benefits
**Job Responsibilities:**
+ Oversee and ensure daily operations comply with all environmental regulations (air, water, waste) across the facility
+ Lead the collection, recording, and analysis of environmental monitoring data to ensure full compliance with regulatory permits and industry standards
+ Manage the preparation and submission of environmental reports and notifications to regulatory bodies, ensuring timely and accurate compliance
+ Provide strategic guidance and support in the preparation and submission of environmental permit applications for new processes, equipment, and facilities
+ Drive continuous improvement initiatives to minimize environmental impact and optimize compliance processes across all operations
+ Collaborate with internal departments to address environmental concerns and implement corrective actions as necessary
+ Develop and implement comprehensive environmental training programs for staff at all levels, promoting environmental awareness and compliance across the organization
+ Lead, mentor, and manage a team of environmental professionals, ensuring effective delegation, task prioritization, and alignment with organizational goals
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus)
+ Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in environmental management, preferably within heavy industrial manufacturing sectors such as oil, gas, pulp, paper, etc.
+ Proven experience managing environmental compliance programs in line with EPA regulations and other relevant environmental standards
+ Strong leadership abilities with experience managing and developing a team, along with exceptional decision-making and problem-solving skills
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage with senior leadership and regulatory bodies.
+ In-depth understanding of environmental regulations, waste management practices, water treatment, and sustainability initiatives.
