Gannett Fleming’s Tampa, FL office is currently seeking an Environmental Field Specialist. Successful candidates will have demonstrated experience and knowledge of environmental groundwater and soil sample collection, remediation system operation and maintenance, coordinating with contractors, state and local agencies and laboratories.
Communicate with a project team, direct subcontractors in the field, and understand written plans / procedures.Compose short field reports documenting site conditions and site activities in accordance with FDEP and EPA requirements.Understand and implement a Health and Safety Plan.Education | Experience:Minimum Qualifications
Two (2) Years experience as an environmental field specialist/scientist2 year Associates Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferredFamiliar with FDEP groundwater and soil sampling SOP’s, and field documentation proceduresFamiliar with field analytical equipment and collection / preservation of soil and groundwater samples.Strong record keeping / documentation skills.Microsoft Excel and Word, strong PC and Email knowledge a plus.Excellent communication skills.First Aid and CPR training a plus.OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER and e-rail safe training.Good basic mechanical skills.Able to lift /carry up to 50 lbs.Able to travel out of town overnight and drive long distances.Ability to multi-task and work on several projects simultaneously.Well organized and ability to manage time to meet project deadlines.Ability to work long hours outdoors in the field in inclement weather.Ability to work at construction sites and observe / document activities.Experience at environmentally impacted sites a plus.Valid driver’s license required.Company Overview:
