**Join Our Team as an Environmental Field Technician!**
Are you ready to get your hands dirty and make an impact in the field? **UES** is looking for a motivated **Environmental Field Technician** to join our team! This full-time position offers the chance to work in a variety of environments, from indoor settings to outdoor locations in all types of weather conditions, with some regional travel.
**What You’ll Do:**
Perform hands-on field work, collecting data and conducting environmental testing in diverse climates and conditions.
Develop strong technical and mechanical skills while assisting with environmental projects.
Take accurate, detailed field notes and grow your written communication skills.
Interact with clients and collaborate with all levels of the GSI team, enhancing your verbal and professional communication abilities.

**Job Responsibilities**
+ Sample groundwater, soil, surface water, and air.
+ Assist with drilling operations and sampling.
+ Prepare equipment for sampling events.
+ Sample wells with pumps or bailers and prepare samples for shipping.
+ Perform repairs to wellheads and equipment.
+ Perform remediation system O&M activities, including inspections, data recording, troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment maintenance.
+ Walk a route in an indoor/outdoor industrial setting visually inspecting equipment.
+ Assist with site reconnaissance, public utility locate coordination and site assessment.
+ Compile and report data using Microsoft Word and Excel.
+ Note: UES provides training for all job responsibilities using a combination of training videos, hands-on training, and courses/certifications provided by others (OSHA, etc.)
**Required Qualifications**
+ Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
+ Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
+ Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including spreadsheets, data analysis, and graphing.
+ Valid driver’s license, insurable driving record, and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ ARC GIS and/or CAD experience.
+ Mechanical abilities.
+ Equipment maintenance experience.
