Job Title: Environmental Field Technician Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Field Technician to join our team in the St. Louis area. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, operation, and maintenance of landfill gas management systems. This role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions and requires a strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance. Key Responsibilities: · Installation and Maintenance: Assist in the installation, operation, and maintenance of landfill gas collection and control systems, including gas wells, piping, and flares. · System Monitoring: Regularly monitor and inspect gas collection systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with environmental regulations. · Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair issues with gas management systems, including pumps, controls, and piping configurations. · Data Collection: Collect and record data on gas flow, pressure, and composition for reporting and analysis. · Site Preparation: Prepare sites for projects, including digging ditches or trenches, backfilling excavations, and leveling pipes. · Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures,ensuring a safe working environment for all team members. · Collaboration: Work closely with other technicians, engineers, and project managers to complete projects efficiently and effectively. Qualifications: · High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred. · Previous experience in landfill gas management or a related field is a plus. · Basic understanding of electrical safety requirements. · Ability to work independently and as part of a team. · Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. · Physical ability to perform manual labor and work in various weather conditions. · Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
