The Opportunity:
Tetra Tech is looking for part-time Environmental Group Supervisors, Air Quality.   This position is for an individual with a strong technical background in environmental air monitoring and sampling as well as experience managing field technicians.

Extensive travel is required and varies based on project requirements.

Tetra Tech will provide travel, per diem, and housing accommodations when on travel, unless staff are local to the site. Full relocation will not be necessary.

Your Role:
We are looking for senior environmental technicians that want to make a difference with their knowledge, organizational skills, and passion in environmental assessment, emergency response, due diligence and remediation. 

This position oversees the collection of air pollutants that may cause health hazards from the debris recovery Operations.  Criteria air contaminants are typically emitted from many sources and the Environmental DSs/Air Quality is responsible for providing and implementing an air monitoring and sampling plan.

Qualifications:
You must have a minimum of two (2) years of supervising or managing environmental aspects of disaster debris removal Operations and/or environmental protective mitigation measure implementation. Also, have experience conducting environmental field monitoring programs or other comparable background.

Degree / Certifications
•    Bachelor’s degree in a field of science or environmental engineering, or other applicable area of science is required. 
•    40-hour HAZWOPER and annual refreshers 
•    ICS 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, 800 is a plus
•    Hazard Classification Training is a plus
•    Asbestos Awareness is a plus
•    First Aid/CPR is a plus

Work Environment
Work is one hundred percent (100%) field work and supporting field operations from the on-site field office. Most work will be completed in California. Opportunities may exist to work outside of this state on future projects.  

Work consists of working 6-7 days a week, including weekends, 10 – 12-hour days and will average 50 – 60 hours per week. 

You must be able to mobilize for a minimum of 3 weeks / 30 days.  

You must be able to:
•    Travel and work evenings and weekends.
•    Work in field environment: long periods of standing; walking over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; recurring bending or similar activities.
•    Lift and carry field sampling and other equipment roughly 35lbs.
•    Meet physical demands of hazardous waste site work.
•    Work outside in all weather conditions and seasons, both hot and cold.
•    Drive on a regular basis. Passing a motor vehicle record background check and maintaining a valid driver's license and good driving record is required.

Tetra Tech offers a basic core medical plan and our 401k retirement plan for this position. 

The Salary Range for this position is $32.00/hour to $40.00/hour, depending on education, experience, skills, and location.
