**POSITION DETAILS**
Reporting to the Director of Environmental Health and Safety, the Coordinator's responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
+ Coordinate and facilitate various EHS initiatives and administrative programs. Support all of EHS by assisting in the management of health and safety programs to help ensure compliance and a safe environment.
+ Responsible for the reporting of EHS financial budget to help ensure accounts are in good standing.
+ Communicate project deadlines, to assist with ensuring timely completion of project milestones.
+ Manage all EHS records , helping ensure all files are kept in accordance with City, State and Federal regulations.
+ Assist in the coordination of the day-to-day activity of RCRA compliance including the coordination of the third-party vendor waste pickups in areas such as Regulated Medical Waste.
+ Facilitate compliance with Right-to-Know Program by ensuring that all facilities at Hunter College have and maintain a chemical inventory of all chemicals at their location. Ensure information is accurate and prepare and submit required inventory reports to appropriate regulatory agencies are met annually.
+ Assist with managing Occupational Safety Programs to ensure compliance with inspections, training attendance and assist with general safety incidents.
+ Coordinate inspections and follow up with various Hunter College departments.
+ Gather sensitive data, perform data analysis and report on various department activities.
+ Coordinate and facilitate customer feedback systems designed to foster positive customer relations. Promote the “branding” of EHS to the larger campus community through the EHS webpage and manage and maintain content and training content.
+ Maintain and update various department forms, policy and procedures manual and standard operating procedure documents, as required.
+ Supports the director in managing the FDNY Permit Program and Certificates of Fitness and assists in FDNY Lab Compliance.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
Bachelor's Degree required.
**Preferred Certifications/Licenses:**
+ RCRA, HAZWOPER, DOT, ASBESTOS,OSHA 30 (1910),LEAD,MOLD. Experience in research laboratory environment.

- Assists management in preparing reports of activities, inventories, incidents, environmental monitoring, and related matters
- Coordinates waste disposal programs by communicating with faculty and staff, organizing collection and contacting appropriate disposal vendors.
- Assists in delivering various training programs and in maintaining bulletins, web site, and other communications.
- May assist with routine inspections of laboratories, storage rooms, and work stations; may coordinate passive monitoring programs
- Coordinates purchases, manages inventory, and provides for maintenance of specialized department equipment
- Performs other duties as assigned.
