In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Lead a risk management approach throughout the Site, including conducting regular risk assessments, hazard identification, training, consultation, observations and communication. Maintaining and update work instructions and JHA’s relevant for all workshop activities in accordance with Federal and State WHS acts and legislation. Perform internal audits of the HSE system and facilitate external audits as applicable Co-ordinate and drive Global initiatives, safety projects & GHG (Greenhouse gas reduction) projects Ensure safe work practices are in accordance with the Emerson’s Safety Procedures, as well as ensuring compliance with Federal and State WHS acts and legislation. Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices in the workplace and act on findings appropriately. Coordinate implementation of controls and systems put in place to improve the work, health and safety of workers and wellbeing of the environment. Conduct and coordinate on-site inspections to audit physical conditions and safe work practices and act on findings appropriately. Ensure reporting in line with Emerson’s Scorecard including but not limited to monthly training, safety observations, total recordable rate (TRR). Lead incident investigations to identify causes and to validate close out actions within required timeframe and review injury and environmental damage reports and act appropriately. Compile, analyze, and report HSE incident data and prepare recommendations for corrective action to eliminate or minimize potential hazards. Facilitate /Chair Site’s HSE committee meetings. Facilitate HSE toolbox sessions to communicate hazard control information to workers. Handle the Rehabilitation and Return to Work for all workers onsite. Ensure environmental practices are in accordance with the Emerson’s Environmental Procedures, as well as ensuring compliance with Federal and State Environmental Protection acts and legislation Develop and present EHS training materials as per Emerson’s training calendar or as required in response to incidents. Plan, implement, drive tasks or actions with minimal direction to achieve business goals. Maintain the Site’s Training Matrix and individual Training Files as required. Develop, maintain, and communicate relevant policies, procedures, and strategies to ensure legal compliance in HSE. Conduct and facilitate on-site Safety Leadership Observations Conduct new employee HSE inductions. Incorporate HSE requirements in all purchasing and control actions. Maintain the SDS register 8. Facilitate the purchase of safety equipment and supplies. Collaborating closely with other service and manufacturing centers throughout ANZ & Globally using standard methodologies. Develop an understanding of the core business and its daily work-flow requirements. Project a positive safety culture that motivates all staff to cooperate and maintain a zero-harm work environmentWho You Are:
You understand the requirements, expectations, and needs of collaborators both internally and externally. You manage relationships across a variety of functions and locations. Works cooperatively with others across the organization to achieve shared objectives.
For This Role, You Will Need:
At least 3 years’ experience in a safety role within the manufacturing industry. Cert IV Training & Assessment or proven experience delivering HSE training and minimum Cert IV WHS. Working knowledge in 5S+1 o ISO 45001 and 14001 standards and Microsoft Office and HSE software.Our Offer to You:
