Environmental Health and Safety Manager

The Environmental Health, and Safety Manager will implement policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. \nSupervisory Responsibilities:\n\nNone\n\nDuties\/Responsibilities:\n\nInspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.\nDevelops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.\nDevelops health and safety procedures for all areas of the company.\nPrepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.\nMonitors compliance with safety procedures.\nDrafts inspection reports to document inspection findings.\nEnsures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.\nMaintains records of discharge of or employee exposure to hazardous waste and\/or pollutants, as required.\nPerforms other related duties as assigned.\n\n
\nRequired Skills\/Abilities: \n\nExtensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail.\nProficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.\n\n
\nEducation and Experience:\n\nBachelor's degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field required; Master's degree desirable.\nFive years of related experience preferred.\n\n
\nPhysical Requirements: \n\nPhysically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections.\nProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.\nMust be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.\n\n

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:\n\nCustomer must be # 1.\nHave a positive and upbeat personality.\nBe pro-active.\nMust have proven record of reliability and accountability.\nMust have an inner need to do things timely.\nMust have a burning desire to be the best at what you do.\nAbility to thrive in a fast growth culture.\nMust have the ability to organize \nAbility to communicate and interface with managers, co-workers, customers, and owners\nBe able to work under deadline pressure and meet deadlines.\nRead, comprehend, and act on data.\nAble to work with more than one project or responsibility simultaneously.\nProficient in computer skills and MS Products.\nFlexibility to work hours that workload may demand.\nAbility to organize, prioritize, and scheduling his\/her own work assignments. \nKnowledge of aviation principles, methods, and techniques. \nKnowledge of FBO and fuel operations practices and procedures. \nAbility to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. \nAbility to analyze and solve problems. \nSkill in implementing new strategies and procedures. \nAbility to create, compose, and edit written materials. \nAbility to make evaluative judgments. \nAbility to investigate and analyze information and to draw conclusions. \nStrong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in the aviation community. \nAbility to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals. \n\n

The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\n

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles, outside weather conditions and the noise level in the work environment is occasionally very loud. (Aviation and loud aircraft engine noise).\n

Travel expectations approximately 30-40%.\n
