At Progress Rail, the team is not just building the future of rail—they are making history every day. **Education / Training:** • BS Degree in Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering or related field is preferred • 3-5 years of EHS related experience in an industrial setting **Job Title:** Environmental Health Safety Manager **City:** Cleveland **Key Job Elements:** • Provides regular approved Safety training to Progress Rail employees, including New Hire, OSHA, CPR, AED training, etc.; • Ensures compliance of facilities for OSHA, EPA, State, County and local policies and procedures; • Leads incident investigations and/or response teams for EHS incidents; • Implements corrective actions found during investigations and/or audits; • Manages preventable maintenance schedules; • Completes action items as directed in Progress Rail Safety Compliance System (PRACSNET); • Conducts Safety and Environmental audits and inspections; • Performs routine Job Safety Analyses; • Maintains and updates MSDS Materials/Manuals; • Serves as Facility’s Emergency Coordinator; • Monitors daily production to promote safe working conditions; • Leads Facility’s Safety Committee; • Maintains all records related to Safety function in a designated shop; • Orders Personal Protective Equipment and maintains the distribution system; • Other job-related duties as assigned. **Qualifications and Experience:** • Experience with State and Federal environmental regulations; • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with a wide variety of audiences; • Experience with Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); • Valid driver’s license; • Must be able to pass a background check which reviews any and all felonies and misdemeanors in the past 7 years; • Must be able to meet requirements of pre-employment, post-offer drug test and fitness for duty medical review and exam; • First Aid/CPR/AED Certification. **EEO:** Progress Rail is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including Veterans and Individuals with Disabilities. **Benefits:** Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance, and experience.
