As the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager, you will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety and environmental programs at Four Hands.  This role will ensure our compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Most importantly, you will be at the forefront of shaping our proactive safety culture by protecting our people, vendors, and company assets. 

In This Role\nBuild and lead the implementation of strategic, prevention-focused environmental health and safety program​ \nDevelop and implement comprehensive training guidelines for employees at all levels \nBuild and execute the rollout of Safety Committees from the ground up to evaluate risk and prevention; lead quarterly meetings and drive employee participation in safety efforts \nFacilitate annual training sessions to continue to promote a safe, healthy, and secure environment​ \nEnsure compliance with OSHA, Hazmat, DOT, and other applicable regulations\nConduct regular safety audits, hazard assessments, and risk analyses \nAssist and maintain new hire safety onboarding, ensure all employees are up to date on training and conduct quarterly audits for compliance​ \nCreate and maintain the standard operating procedure for site inspections and safety observations; train and direct management to inspect facilities, work sites, and equipment for violations or hazards​  \nCollaborate with leadership to ensure safety policies and practices are followed and documented; investigate incidents, near-misses, and injuries, lead root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence \nTrack and analyze safety performance, prepare reports for leadership, and continuously identify opportunities to enhance the safety program in alignment with industry standards and best practices \nReview and update MSDS and SPCC plans while tracking and analyzing safety performance metrics; prepare and present reports to leadership \nTrack and control inventory of safety supplies and equipment at all locations \nSupervise and lead safety team, ensuring efficient and effective safety operations  \nServe as the primary contact for regulatory inspections and audits \nCollaborate with warehouse managers, P&C, and operations leaders to integrate EHS into daily operations\nOther duties as assigned, in accordance with training and qualifications\nUphold our Core Values and be a valuable member of the Four Hands team: \nBe open and honest \nReach for excellence \nAct with responsibility \nValue the whole person \nEnjoy the journey\n\n\n\nLeadership and Team Management \nSupervise and lead employee(s), ensuring efficient and effective operations \nProvide coaching, training, and mentorship to team members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their jobs effectively \nMonitor team performance, provide feedback, and ensure that company policies and procedures are followed \nPromote a positive and collaborative team environment, encouraging employee engagement and teamwork \nFoster strong communication within the team, ensuring clarity of roles, expectations, and goals \nIdentify and address skill gaps or performance issues promptly, implementing development opportunities and support plans as needed \nEncourage innovation by involving team members in problem-solving and process improvement initiatives \n

The Ideal Person\n5+ years experience in safety management experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, or industrial environment\nOSHA 30-Hour certification, First Aid/CPR certification, and forklift trainer certification  \nIn-depth knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations \nProven success leading safety initiatives, influence cross-functional teams, and drive accountability without direct authority \nStrong relationship-building skills; able to collaborate across functions and build trust with frontline teams and leadership  \nStrong and concise communicator with the ability to convey technical information to both frontline employees and executive leadership \nDemonstrated ability to drive cultural change and continuous improvement in EHS \nExperience with incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning \n\nPhysical Requirements: \nComfortable with continuous walking, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, and reaching in a warehouse environment\nPhysical ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently and maneuver items up to 225 lbs with assistance\nComfortable working in proximity to forklifts, loading docks, and furniture inventory \n
