We have an outstanding career opportunity for an Environmental Health & Safety Manager to join a leading Company. This is a remote position. Candidates must live in CA.
Salary Range: $120,000 - $130,000
Responsibilities:Work in conjunction with the VP of EH&S and liaise with management to develop and implement specific and measurable risk management objectives that support the division in achieving safety performance excellenceThis includes ensuring that assessments, audits, and inspections are carried out at regular intervals and that appropriate key performance indicators are identified, measured, and maintainedConduct safety assessments, inspections, and field observations within assigned areaAssist with routine updates to company safety training programs, policies, and proceduresRespond to general branch inquiries regarding safety processes and training materialsInvestigate incidents and near misses/hits and perform root cause analysis, when necessaryFollow-up on remedial action item(s) to help ensure processes are refined and continual improvements are made and/or sustainedCompile safety data and provide management reports on the safety activities and results accomplished by the division, region, and branchPrepare reports for corporate and field management as requestedAssist with authoring and compiling information for the safety newsletterAssist with the administration of the company's safety awards/incentive programsMaintain OSHA recordkeeping forms 301, 300, and 300AAdvise management of non-compliance discoveriesRespond to initial inquiries from regulatory agencies as instructed by the VP of EH&SAssist the branch safety coordinator role with compliance matters at their assigned locationsEnsure compliance with governmental agencies' recordkeeping requirements
Basic Hiring Criteria:Bachelor's (BS) degree and/or equivalent related experienceMinimum 2 years of experience with safety leadershipValid driver's license and good driving history with reliable transportationAbility to travel extensively - must be located in California, as this role will be responsible for 40 branch locations in Southern CaliforniaMust be a bilingual Spanish speaker
