Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Professional to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Baltimore, MD.
"This position may be filled as a hybrid role at the Baltimore, MD location and candidates are required to be local to the site. Selection will be based on the most qualified candidate."
Key roles and responsibilities include:
Reviews and interprets existing and proposed environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations to determine applicability and impact for the sector. Assists with implementation of programs to comply.
Assists in the collection, reporting, and analyzing of hazardous materials related data to support EHSFP compliance, digital transformation, emerging chemical regulations, and product stewardship initiatives.
Support PLM and SAP conversion activities and maintain data within the SDS management system.
Assists with the development, implementation, and maintenance of EH&S programs to ensure compliance and risk mitigation, with an emphasis on emerging environmental regulations..
Implements EHS management systems sector-level programs and associated documentation.
Support sector hazardous material management, environmental compliance, and hazardous materials transportation programs, as needed.
Additional roles and responsibilities may include:
Provides timely and accurate submission of necessary reports to the company and regulatory agencies.
Conducts audits and identifies actions necessary to meet regulatory requirements.
Coordinates EHS training for employees and conducts instructor-led EHS training.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience in an EHS position OR a master’s degree and 3 years of related EHS experience.
Experience with managing various environmental compliance programs (such as hazardous waste, storm water, wastewater, air, etc.) based on the review and interpretation of EHS regulations; oversight of third-party consultants/contractors; and/or implementation of EHS management systems.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance.
(U.S. Citizenship required).
Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Science (M.S.) degree in an EHS program of study or currently enrolled in an M.S. degree program.
Professional certifications in EHS related programs (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager)
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point programs.
Experience with SAP and Microsoft SharePoint programs.
Salary Range: $95,800.00 - $143,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
