In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives. As the **EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety) Specialist I** , you will be responsible for the implementation and sustaining of all EHS programs according to local and external regulations. The resource must also be aligned with all regulations established by Abbott on the previously mentioned scopes. **What You’ll Do** + Support the processes in order to formulate, implement, manage and improve ALL programs related with the Environmental, Health and Safety Scopes. + Provide EHS administrative and planning support to senior EHS manager. + Communicates with internal EHS Supporting groups and EHS Departmental team to establish and achieve the targets and objectives for ALL relevant EHS programs. + Directly responsible of performing regular EHS inspections, supervision and audits and + Provide support in the completion of documentation and reports (reporting, documentation, metrics on both verbal and written forms) required by the local and Federal regulatory agencies on the Safety and Health Scopes. + Responsible of establishing and maintaining of all EHS programs. + Investigate EHS incidents and their prevention. + Responsible to support all Departmental efforts, CSR, continuous improvement, special projects and innovation processes. + Effectively support and communicates EHS strategies, systems, targets and objectives within Abbott as needed. **Required Qualifications** + Bachelor’s Degree in EHS Engineering, Safety and Occupational Health, Safety Engineering, Environmenal Management Or EHS Technician; EHS Inspector with relevant/certified/proven experience within the field. + Experience with emergency response, life safety and the proper handling of biological and industrial waste materials. + Use PowerPoint, Excel spreadsheets, and/or Microsoft Project. + Must have knowledge in OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, INTECO and ISO 14001, ISO 50001 standards. + Intermediate command of English language (required). **Preferred Qualifications** + 1-3+ years’ experience developing EHS policies and procedures in Occupational Health, Safety and ergonomics areas. **SHIFT ADMIN** (Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm) Works 100% on site Apply Now (https://www.jobs.abbott/) Follow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
