ABOUT THE POSITION

VHB’s Providence, RI office is looking for an Environmental Intern to join our team for the Summer of 2025.

 

Responsibilities

Collaborate with numerous VHB staff, clients, and consultants to advance projects in a timely mannerWetland delineationsThreatened and endangered species surveysPlant identification and vegetation inventoryWater Quality MonitoringGPS, mobile technology, and data managementGIS, geodatabases, and basic mapmakingData entry, research, and analysisWriting and technical reportingEnvironmental permit support

Skills and Attributes

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to independently manage multiple tasks and interact appropriately and positively with teammatesSelf-motivated with attention to detailGood time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in biology, environmental science, environmental planning, or related field
