At Xerox, sustainability is our way of doing business. We are looking for an experienced environmental professional to lead our toner manufacturing operations in achieving our environmental goals. They will be responsible for conducting environmental audits, overseeing environmental compliance, and developing environmental education and training programs. They will also be responsible for monitoring environmental trends and keeping up to date on environmental regulations. The Toner Plant Environmental Management Representative will be a key member of our sustainability team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide environmental leadership and guidance to toner manufacturing operations to ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and ISO 14001 requirementsMaintain all components of manufacturing plant environmental management system (EMS)Review new processes or process changes for regulatory and environmental implications, develop controls as needed for compliance and progress toward environmental goalsRecommend environmental objectives/targets, and track and communicate progress against environmental metricsInterface with plant personnel (Management, Operations, Engineering, Production Control, Quality, Safety, Maintenance) on environmental issues such as energy, water, resource conservation and waste/recyclingChampion and lead projects to enhance sustainability and reduce the environmental footprint of our toner manufacturing operationsConduct audits and risk assessments to identify environmental hazards and recommend solutions for minimizing or eliminating risksEducate employees on their role in supporting the environmental management system and maintaining regulatory complianceMonitor compliance with environmental regulations through review of internal documents and on-site inspectionsInvestigate issues related to environmental requirements and take appropriate corrective actionWork with Xerox Corporate EHS&S personnel to incorporate manufacturing-related compliance data into environmental reports required by regulatory agenciesStay up-to-date on developments in environmental science and technologyRequired Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, or related field2-4 years experience in environmental management or a related fieldUnderstanding of environmental regulations and compliance requirementsFamiliarity with the requirements of ISO Management Systems and auditing (14001 preferred). Lead Auditor training a plus.Demonstrated ability to develop and implement environmental programsAble to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProven leadership and project management experienceComfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
