Manages environmental compliance programs, air emissions sources, pretreatment wastewater operations or land applications, stormwater, hazardous waste, SPCC (Spill Prevention Control & Countermeasure ) in order for the company to maintain compliance with federal, state and local agencies.
Duties/Activities Required by Job
Ensuring policies and procedures for the general operation of the business unit's compliance programs. Participating in regulatory visits and communication regarding new or existing permits Monitoring compliance of the business unit and providing guidance on matters relating to compliance. Review Intellect reports to ensure compliance tasks are completed on time. Identifying potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; developing corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, mitigate risk, and providing general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future. Provide technical support to all upcoming regulatory issues relating to the company. Keep current with changing regulations/technologies across the country. Adheres to all safety requirements including PPE, preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions. Lockout Tag Out procedure and process safety management related matters.Educations/Experience Requirements
BS in Environmental Science or related field 7-10 years Willingness to travel, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, working knowledge of 40CFR-air, along with state, local regs, wastewater license
