Environmental Manager – Helsinki, Finland – Data Centres
Our client is a dedicated Data Centre Construction company providing turnkey solutions to our clients, headquartered in Dublin and delivering throughout Europe. As an engineering-focused organization, they have grown to become one of the leading and most trusted companies in our sector. We are currently constructing multiple Turnkey Data Centre Projects across Europe, equating to over 500 MW of IT load in flight.
We are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to join our team. This position will be based on-site in Helsinki, Finland.
Responsibilities
Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)
Conduct detailed environmental impact assessments (EIA) for the project to identify potential environmental risks and impacts. Develop mitigation strategies to minimize any negative effects on air, water, soil, and surrounding ecosystems. Regulatory Compliance and Reporting
Ensure the construction project complies with all relevant environmental regulations, including local, state, and national laws. This involves obtaining necessary permits, monitoring compliance, and submitting required reports to regulatory bodies. Waste Management and Pollution Control
Implement waste management programs to reduce, recycle, or properly dispose of construction waste. Establish procedures to manage hazardous materials, minimize air and water pollution, and manage emissions during construction activities. Sustainable Construction Practices
Promote the use of sustainable construction practices, such as energy-efficient building techniques, green materials, and water-saving technologies. Ensure the project minimizes its carbon footprint and optimizes resource use throughout construction. Environmental Training and Awareness
Provide training for all project personnel on environmental policies, procedures, and best practices. Foster a culture of environmental awareness and responsibility to reduce negative impacts on the environment during daily operations. Monitoring and Auditing
Regularly monitor environmental performance on-site to ensure adherence to environmental management plans. Conduct audits to assess the effectiveness of environmental controls and corrective actions, adjusting as necessary to minimize environmental impact.
Requirements
Qualified Environmentalist 7 years’ experience within the construction sector Experience working on High-Tec, Industrial, pharma, data centre type projects.
Benefits
€80,000 - €90,000 per annum + Full Rotational Package
