Job Description

A global bio-pharmaceutical company specializing in generic sterile injectable manufacturing is seeking motivated individuals to join their Environmental Monitoring Team. This team is responsible for viable and non-viable monitoring of the manufacturing areas, including air, water, and surface sampling. Samples are logged in a proprietary LIMS, and cGMP documentation practices are adhered to. Analysts will also be responsible for processing water, product, and commodity samples and performing bioburden testing.

ResponsibilitiesPerform sampling of the entire facility including air, water, and surfaces.Log samples in the LIMS system and adhere to cGMP documentation practices.Process water, product, and commodity samples.Conduct bioburden testing on water and pharmaceutical product samples.Assist supervisors in training and integrating new hires into the team.Act as an interim lead for the supervisor as needed.Participate in process improvement initiatives when asked.Test commodities for viable and non-viable particulates.Ensure samples are taken on time to support microbiology labs.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or related life science field with 1+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience in environmental monitoring.Associates degree or HS diploma with 3-4 years of environmental monitoring experience in the pharmaceutical industry.Experience in gowning and sampling in an aseptic manufacturing environment.Familiarity with LIMS and MODA systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with pharmaceutical lab setup.Understanding of cGMP manufacturing.Knowledge of clean room practices.Proficiency in aseptic lab processing and sampling.Work Environment

This role operates in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, interacting with both the manufacturing floor and the laboratory. The position is primarily day shift, following a 2-2-3 rotating schedule from 7am-7pm. Approximately 80% of the time is spent in manufacturing areas for sampling, and 20% in the lab. Training will occur on team schedules with specific trainers, taking a few months to complete. The team consists of 45-50 people split across day and night shifts, working in Grade A, B, C, D areas, which requires gowning. Flexibility with the schedule is necessary. Employees are full-time and eligible for benefits, including 6 paid holidays and 40 hours of vacation time.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00
