Airswift is working with a leading company for an Environmental Permitting Specialist to work between Baytown, TX (60%) and Houston, TX (40%) for a 12-month contract with benefits! (hybrid schedule).

Role Overview

Lead environmental permitting strategies and applications for new pipeline construction and operation. Manage environmental studies and engage with third-party consultants and regulatory agencies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence project deliverables and provide updates to project management. Implement environmental risk management processes during early concept development. Interface with Lead Environmental & Regulatory Specialist for transition planning.

Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental regulatory permitting and compliance in the energy industry. Experience with midstream/pipelines and major capital project development preferred. Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations. Strong project management skills and ability to navigate complex regulatory requirements. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with internal and external stakeholders. Organizational skills to prioritize and maintain project and permitting requirements. Ability to work from both the Baytown, TX field office (60%) & Houston, TX downtown office (40%).

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering or related field required. Experience with midstream/pipelines and major capital project development preferred. 10 years of experience supporting environmental regulatory permitting and compliance in the energy industry preferred, but minimum 5 years required.
