The Atlantic Canada Environmental Services group is looking for Environmental Scientists to build bench strength in our already high-performing team. Below is a brief description of the roles, capabilities and credentials you should bring.

Your Capabilities and Credentials Intermediate Environmental Assessment Practitioners: Minimum bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental management, engineering, science, forestry, or related field Minimum of 3 years of work experience or a combination of education and experience Comfortable working on multiple projects concurrently, sometimes reporting to different individuals Strong verbal and written communication skills, including strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and technical writing skills High attention to detail General knowledge of relevant local provincial and federal environmental legislation and policies Ability and natural tendency to mentor staff that are junior in experience/exposure Junior Environmental Assessment Practitioners: Minimum bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental management, engineering, science, forestry, or related field Minimum of 1 year work experience Willing to work on multiple projects concurrently, sometimes reporting to different individuals Proficient verbal and written communication skills, including MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) High attention to detail Motivated to learn new skills, take on work assignments, and handle multiple assignments as appropriate Some knowledge of relevant local provincial and federal environmental legislation and policies is an asset Field Logistics Coordinator: Minimum of 2 years experience in a customer service capacity Preferred background in asset management and inventory controls but not required A class 5 license is required Confident user of MS Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook Solid written and verbal skills Proven high attention to detail  Experience within a fast-paced, high-demand environment Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team Demonstrated organizational skills with an ability to prioritize work Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills Interest in Health and Safety Flexible work hours on occasion  Wetlands Biologist: Minimum bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental management, engineering, science, forestry, or related field Minimum of 3 years work experience or combination of education and experience Received recognized training in wetland delineation WESP-AC training is an asset Strong verbal and written communication skills, including strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and technical writing skills High attention to detail Experience in the collection of biological and physical field data Ability and natural tendency to mentor staff that are junior in experience/exposure Vegetation Biologist: Minimum bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental management, engineering, science, forestry, or related field Minimum of 3 years of work experience or a combination of education and experience Ability to identify common vascular plans in the field and to identify collected specimens using dichotomous keys and other reference materials Strong verbal and written communication skills, including strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and technical writing skills High attention to detail Experience in the collection of biological and physical field data Ability and natural tendency to mentor staff that are junior in experience/exposure To express interest in joining our team, please submit your application, and our Talent Acquisition team with contact you as needed People.
