JP EAP is seeking an experienced Environmental Professional to join the team, who will lead the development and deployment of programs for environment media (air, stormwater, waste water, waste) and management of system needs (such as, reporting, project management and procedural writing and updates) to support AMZL Ops and other partner functions (L&D, ACES, Sustainability, RME Facilities, WHS, etc) in executing the programs efficiently and compliantly at the site level. This role will ensure that the designed programs will meet the needs of AMZL Ops Customers and Stakeholders. This role will work align with the Global EAP EMS (Environmental Management System) Pillars teams as required,. This role will also support data management for business reporting to our Ops customers and invent and simplify to communicate technical concepts to audiences with varying backgrounds and experience. This role will further assist in working with consultants or technical teams to resolve regulated environment program barriers, ensuring customers have a positive experience with internal tools and resources, and coordinating streamlined access to process material. This individual will focus on implementing scalable and sustainable solutions for managing compliance in the environmental field.
The ideal candidate must possess proficiency in environmental regulations, program development and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME). They must demonstrate this expertise when partnering with teams throughout the Amazon business and operations. The successful candidate must be able to work successfully in a fast-paced environment, have a results-oriented approach, strong analytical, and excellent written and verbal communication skill and proven ability to lead complex projects across multiple countries, sites and businesses.

Key job responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of AMZL specific standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training material for the different environmental programs (e.g., waste, air emissions, spill management, wastewater / stormwater management, etc.).
- Develop and support AMZL specific environment programs that are locally relevant, right size, user-friendly and accessible.
- Work with internal stakeholders, such as Operations (including ACES), WHS, Legal, Dangerous Goods, Engineering, RME / Facilities, Procurement, Learning and Development, Real Estate and New Build teams, to review and implement and deploy programs and any process improvements.
- Along with MSEMs, undertake site visits to pilot programs and ensure they are built to suit the requirements of JP AMZL Operations. Occasionally, support in completed Audits to ensure AMZL Operation’s adherence to environmental standards and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to support program initiatives through release of network alerts, team flashes and business reviews (e.g. QBRs).
- Deploy and monitor JP AMZL performance against applicable key performance indicators (KPIs), support in the preparation and finalization of business review reports.
- Collaborate with JP EAP team members to confirm program goals are met and tracked accordingly to business processes
- Support the design of a standard project management toolkit to support the efficient running and delivery of programs for both global and local projects
- Possess a thorough understanding of local, and national environmental regulations and Amazon company standards
- Partner with the EAP Global and JP Launch and Engineering Teams to establish launch related program standardization (e.g., standard waste cage designs, road to launch playbook, etc.) and efforts, to ensure the new building launches are in compliance with the applicable local regulations and conformance with Amazon standards.
- Along with MSEMs, coordinate environmental programs (e.g., Site Environmental Regulatory Assessment for new launch sites, Waste Vendor Inspections, SOP deployments and continuous improvements) and initiatives in alignment with BU objectives
- Supervise consultants hired to deliver specific products and services under the Programs and Trainings scope.
- Think big to develop, integrate, and implement standardized tech and program solutions to increase compliance while reducing burden on Amazon resource requirements.
- Must be willing to travel up to 20%.
