Environmental Project Manager | CA

FLSA Status: Exempt, Salary

Reports To: Senior Project Manager

Job Type: Full-Time, Regular

Compensation: $90,000 to $110,000 per year, based on relevant work experience

JOB SUMMARY: The Project Manager will be working closely with team members to accurately scope and price projects and develop professional service agreements (PSAs).  Additionally, the Project Manager will ensure that all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track.

Independently supervise complex projects including tracking and managing project deliverables

Maintain familiarity ensuring client needs are prioritized and capitalized

Assist scoping out tasks needed to complete the project and meet the client’s needs

Assist team members in understanding time budgeted to complete each phase of a project

Effectively market services to both current and potential clients

Stay abreast of relevant regulations and standards governing occupational health and safety

Recommend engineering controls, administrative controls, and personal protective equipment (PPE) to safeguard workers' health

Coordinate project activities, including scheduling field surveys, conducting investigations, and managing subcontractors

Provide technical guidance and support to multidisciplinary teams of technical staff

Maintain accurate records of project activities, data, and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements

Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings

Support, actively participate, and act in accordance with Wright’s and Eocene Environmental Group's culture of safety and employee ownership

Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintains knowledge of and follows all company policies and procedures

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

B.S. degree (M.S. preferred) in environmental science or another relevant field

A minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in environmental consulting

California Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor Certification

California Licensed Asbestos Inspector

Mentorship with project management tasks including scoping and budgeting projects

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Excellent planning and time management skills

Experience with project management software package

Ability to travel to project sites as needed and work independently or as part of a team

Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with employees and vendors

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Certification as a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP)

Demonstrate excellent customer service focusing on rapport-building, listening, questioning and patience

Communicates effectively with all levels of employees, both technical and non-technical

Ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced, and ever-changing environment
